Announcements and Deadlines

December 03, 2008

Remember that next Wednesday, December 10th is the last day of instruction and thus the last day to withdraw from the semester. This means that finals are just around the corner... which, to be honest, really isn't that exciting. But it is important to know that finals week is from December 13th-December 20th. Good luck with finals and have a wonderful winter break.

Our office is closed from December 25, 2008 through January 2, 2009. When you return next Spring, we'll be offering schedule planning and choosing a major workshops at the beginning of the term. Keep checking out our website for information on signing up.

I Didn't Know You Could Major in That! Religious Studies

December 03, 2008

Religious Studies examines the religious traditions from a global perspective, but also allows its students to pick an area of concentration. The focus that one chooses can be a cross-cultural theme, cultural period, or a specific religion (Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, or Islam). It is not restricted to students with an extensive religious background nor students who wish to pursue religious careers. It is interesting to note that graduates from this major go on to careers in international business, law, medicine, and sociology to name a few.
